1 kit contains 1 vial of Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes (1.5M cells/vial) and 1 bottle of Pluricyte® Cardiomyocyte Medium (serum-free culture medium, 100ml/bottle). Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes are cryopreserved human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes. The cells are manufactured and cultured in chemically defined, serum-free media. Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes are supplied in a kit format.

Technical data

Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes are ventricular cardiomyocytes differentiated from human-induced pluripotent stem cells without any genetically modification or purification/selection procedures. The cells show highly-organized, aligned sarcomere structures. 

First contractions of Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes appear between 24-48 hours post-thawing. It will take 3-4 days before the cells have formed an electrically coupled monolayer. Stable beating monolayers can be observed 7-8 days post-thawing (20-30 BPM). The optimal time window to perform electrophysiology-based assays with Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes is between 8-12 days after plating the cardiomyocytes. Due to their relatively low beat rate, Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes can be easily paced for electrophysiological research. For more detailed information on Pluricyte® Cardiomyocytes, download our Product sheet.
